Who we are
Kismia AI operates the website at kismia.co and the companion chat service available through it. In this document "Kismia AI", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of that service, and "you" refers to the registered user.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the Kismia AI website, the chat interface and any related communication we send you. It does not cover third-party websites you reach through links placed on our pages.
Age requirement
Kismia AI is available only to people aged 18 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we close it and delete the associated data without further notice.
Account information
When you register we store an email address, a hashed password or an external sign-in identifier, a display name and the date the account was created.
Conversation content
Messages exchanged with a companion are stored so the conversation can continue across sessions and devices. Without this storage the companion would not recall anything you said earlier.
Companion settings
Personality sliders, nicknames, preferred topics and similar preferences are saved against your account so each chat resumes with the same character.
Technical information
Our servers record IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, referring page and timestamps. This information is used for security, abuse prevention and performance work.
Payment information
Card numbers are never processed or stored by Kismia AI. Payments run through licensed payment providers, and we receive only the plan purchased, the transaction status and the last four digits of the card.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences and measure aggregate traffic. Blocking cookies in your browser is possible, but the signed-in experience may stop working correctly.
Analytics
Aggregated usage statistics help us understand which sections are used and where people get stuck. Analytics data is examined in aggregate and is not used to build advertising profiles about individuals.
Legal grounds for processing
We process data to perform the contract you enter when creating an account, to meet legal obligations, and on the basis of legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service improvement.
How we use your data
Data is used to operate the chat, personalise the companion experience, provide support, process subscriptions, detect abuse and comply with applicable law. It is not used for anything else.
What we never do
Kismia AI does not sell your personal data, does not rent contact lists, and does not publish conversation content anywhere, in any form, at any time.
Service providers
Hosting, email delivery, payment processing and error monitoring are handled by vetted providers acting under contract. They may access data only to the extent required to deliver their service to us.
International transfers
Our providers may operate servers outside your country. Where that happens, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard.
Retention periods
Account and conversation data are retained while the account is active. After deletion, records are removed from live systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days.
Security measures
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, administrative access is limited to named staff, and access to production systems is logged and reviewed.
Breach notification
If a security incident affects your personal data, we notify affected users and the relevant supervisory authority within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Right of access
You may request a copy of the personal data connected to your Kismia AI account. We answer access requests within 30 days of verifying your identity.
Right to correction
Incorrect details such as an email address or display name can be corrected from the account page or by contacting support.
Right to deletion
You can delete individual conversations, the whole chat history, or the account itself. Deleting the account removes profile data, companion settings and stored messages.
Right to object and restrict
Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object to it or ask us to restrict it while your request is examined.
Data portability
On request we provide your account data and conversation history in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable file.
Withdrawing consent
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.
Marketing messages
Product emails are sent only if you opted in. Every message contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect essential account notices.
Automated processing
Companion replies are produced automatically from your conversation. This processing does not create legal effects for you and does not influence access to any external service.
Nature of the companions
All Kismia AI companions, including their names, photographs and biographies, are fictional and generated. They do not depict, represent or identify real individuals.
Third-party links
Some pages contain links to external websites. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that website applies and this document no longer governs your data.
Children's data
We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18. Reports about underage accounts are handled as a priority.
Complaints
If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may contact us first and, if the answer does not satisfy you, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are announced inside the product.
